Hey — I’m Gunnar, founder of UNKWN Studios.
I grew up chasing the dream of playing professional hockey, UNFORTUNATELY that ended after career ending injuries.
But, design…. Clothing, interior design, and ARCHITECTURE have always been my true passion, bigger than hockey. The way materials, structure, and space can create emotion, motivation and routine, excited me. I always knew i would find a way to get into design.
This is my way.
UNKWN studios started on my desk. I wanted to create the pieces I couldn’t find — clean, industrial styled essentials that bring calm and clarity to your everyday spaces. From the objects on your desk to the clothes you wear and everything in between, every design is built to feel intentional, balanced, and motivating.
Our approach treats design like architecture — each object, garment, and detail is built and designed to interact as part of a larger ecosystem.
